The Cycles Suite

All the elements of our human life - our physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual selves – are present and interwoven throughout our lifetime. Because these elements are constantly in motion, we may find ourselves growing and maturing, letting go, expressing our unique talents and tendencies, or beginning anew - no matter what stage of life we are in.

The Cycles Suite is an in-depth exploration of five specific aspects of our human development. Specifically, we will use Gabrielle Roth’s Cycles map and the 5Rhythms movement practice - as well as our own capacity for deep inquiry – to chart the terrain we all must navigate on our life’s journey. By dancing the dance of life ‘on purpose,’ we will witness, befriend, and perhaps update the stories that shape who we are.

Any workshop in the Cycles Suite can be taken in any order, at any time; each one is intimately related to the others, and each is relevant for any point in one’s life. In this series, each workshop invites us to attend to a particular realm of development so that we may bring more fullness and presence to our experience of being alive.

I - The Living Body
 - What is our genetic inheritance? How do we relate to, and care for, our own flesh and blood? Here we explore our relationship to the vehicle that moves us through this life.

II - The Heart’s Expansion
 – How does our heart contract and expand as time goes on? What touches and moves us? In this workshop, we trace and develop our capacity to feel, express, connect, and respond.

III - The Momentum of Mind
 – Here we practice tapping into, and making peace with, our mind’s remarkable energy, flexibility, curiosity, and creativity – meeting and riding the Momentum of Mind.

IV - The Soul’s Unfolding
 – accepting, offering, and committing to our unique gifts, talents, and purpose. In this workshop, we make way for the unfolding dance of our soul.

V -The Eternal Spirit
 – What else is there? Here we honor that which already is – what always has been, and always will be. This workshop is an invitation to receive, embody, and rest within the ever-present Eternal Spirit or life force that moves through all.

Participants are required to have at least 1 weekend Heartbeat workshop. We need a short list with title, teacher, date and place of the Heartbeat workshops you did (only Heartbeat, not Waves please).
